This page outlines the policy and procedures for users of the mobile application Urithi (developed by Fredrick Mokua Jaoko) to request the permanent deletion of their account and associated personal data.

Urithi complies with Google Play Store User Data Policy, Apple App Store Deletion Guidelines, GDPR, CCPA, and applicable data protection regulations. You have the right to request full account deletion and data removal at any time without fee.

2. Steps to Request Data Deletion

Follow these prominent steps to request permanent deletion of your account and data:

1. Step 1: Open your email client
   Compose a new email addressed to hello@urithi.app from the email address registered to your Urithi account.
2. Step 2: Set the Subject Line
   Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request or Data Deletion Request.
3. Step 3: Provide Account Identifiers
   In the body of your message, explicitly state that you are requesting permanent deletion of your account and data, and include:
   • Your registered email address
   • Your username or profile display name (if applicable)
4. Step 4: Confirm Ownership Verification
   Reply to any verification prompt sent by our support team to verify account ownership. Once confirmed, the deletion process will begin immediately.

3. Types of Data Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following data types associated with your account are permanently erased from our databases and authentication systems:

• Personal Identity & Account Data: Full name, registered email address, authentication credentials, profile picture/avatar, and account settings.
• Learning Progress & Activity History: Completed lessons, module progress, review history, streaks, XP scores, achievements, and leaderboard entries.
• User Saved Content: Bookmarked vocabulary lists, custom study notes, and saved flashcards.
• Device & Notification Tokens: Push notification tokens, unique device identifiers, and session tokens.

4. Types of Data Retained & Retention Periods

While most user data is deleted immediately upon request completion, certain limited data may be retained for specific reasons as outlined below:

• Financial & Billing Records: Records of paid subscriptions or in-app transactions processed via App Store / Google Play billing are retained for up to 7 years strictly to fulfill legal, tax, accounting, and anti-fraud statutory obligations.
• Aggregated / Anonymized Analytics: Non-personally identifiable, aggregated usage data (such as overall lesson completion rates) that cannot be traced back to an individual user may be retained indefinitely for quality assurance and application optimization.
• Maximum Request Processing Window: Account verification and data deletion completion occurs within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the receipt of your verified request.
